Hi! I am Pete Gulbrandsen, a full time Florida fishing guide.
I am a US Coast Guard licensed and fully insured charter captain, I have a passion for fishing but especially fishing for big fish in shallow water.
I enjoy teaching people what I have learned in my 30 years of fishing experience. I get excited each morning that i get up to start another adventure of stalking Tarpon,Snook,Redfish and Trout. You will be amazed when you see dolphins, manatees, ospreys and eagles in the beauty of Gods awesome creation! I I enjoy the hunt to find the fish, staying stealthy quiet,in order to sneak up on them, throwing lures and flies to fool the fish into striking my offering, then feeling the jolt of the take as the rod doubles over and the drag screams!
I run a 18' East Cape Fury flats skiff that allows us to get into the shallowest or "skinny" water as the boat floats in 6" of water with two anglers on board. This takes us into the backcountries meandering creeks, as well as shallow flats and winding mangrove shorelines where we will encounter our quarry. We probably will not see many boats if any, just fish and wildlife. The Fury also poles extremely quiet,so as not to spook the fish The Fury's hull design and huge built in spray rails lets us go out off the beaches of Sanibel,Captiva,North Captiva and Cayo Costa to chase down migrating Tarpon,Snook and False Albacore in the summer and fall! I also have two kayaks set up for fishing. Sometimes I will strap the kayak to the Fury and go way back into the back country. This is also available. If this sounds good to you, give me a call and lets go fishing!
